It's a brand new year, and we are looking forward to our second Susquehanna Folk Festival on July 26-28, 2019.  This year the festival runs three days, with a concert and contra dance Friday night to kick off the weekend.

Our first Liars Contest will be a Sunday highlight, emceed by champion hogwasher Bil Lepp (pictured above), five-time champion of the West Virginia Liars' Contest. Ten tellers of tales will astound and confound you, and cash prizes will be awarded to the three best (worst?) liars.

Main Stage performers will include Cherish the Ladies, Hot Club of Cowtown, Dom Flemons, and a rare appearance by the Irish-American supergroup Pride of New York. We're also excited to host Kittel & Co. featuring Jeremy Kittel, Josh Pinkham and (just for this festival!) guitarist John Doyle.

Dancers will enjoy New England style contradance music by The Faux Paws and Rodney Miller and the Stringrays, and swing music by local favorites Neidig, Koretzky, Gehret & Campbell

We'll be hosting another Emerging Artist Showcase as well, and we're pleased to welcome back last year's winner Justin Angelo.

Kids attend free, so bring the family! And by all means take them to check out the Balance Playground hosted by the Give and Take Jugglers. Add the artisan and crafter marketplace, food, jamming, workshops, and all the rest -- you can't miss this festival!
