SFMS presents a full calendar of traditional arts events in south-central Pennsylvania. As summer ends, we'll enjoy two more "Soundwaves" concerts (Justin Angelo Band and Rue de la Pompe) and we'll kick off our new season with Genticorum and the Old Blind Dogs. Participants are invited to play and sing blues/folk songs with Roger, and lead songs of their own if they wish. Acoustic guitars, banjos, fiddles, basses, harmonicas, song flutes, and hand percussion with their respective owners' voices are all welcome.

Fiddle Workshop with Brian Conway of Pride of New York

The workshop will focus on the relationship between bowing, phrasing and ornamentation in traditional Irish fiddling. Repertoire will consist of traditional tunes rather than on recent compositions, with a particular focus on classic tunes which the workshop participants can play at sessions.

There is no age restriction.  The workshop is targeted to intermediate/advanced players.
